Re the confidence thing... I hope it's not due to training with a fast group - seeing how fast some people are, and how easy they seem to do it. If this is so, just 'do your own thing' and take heart from personal improvements (which are obviously happening).

It can also be difficult when seemingly sub-standard hard sessions occur. My advice would be to have confidence in your training program, and your ability to run well when it matters - in a race!</description>
