1km Time Trial - 3:56
This is an equal best 1km TT time for me, however this was on The Tan on a slight downhill. My previous TT was just weeks before being diagnosed with stress fractures last year and was set on the track at Olympic Park.

6 by 300 metres - also on The Tan so can’t be 100% sure of accuracy of distance

Feeling good about these as they equate to around 84/85 400s, I have not done 400s on the track for ages but prior to injury I would run about 89/90 for my 400s so this looks like good progress.

Still keeping my head down, just trying to regain some self belief.

  1. Keep you chin up, Em.

(chin up, head down: there’s an odd image!)

  4. That’s good for a time trial. The 300s were speedy too.

Re the confidence thing… I hope it’s not due to training with a fast group - seeing how fast some people are, and how easy they seem to do it. If this is so, just ‘do your own thing’ and take heart from personal improvements (which are obviously happening).

It can also be difficult when seemingly sub-standard hard sessions occur. My advice would be to have confidence in your training program, and your ability to run well when it matters - in a race!
