Sometimes it just feels right
Run 1
An indirect 3km from my car parked on the tan, back to Anderson Street then up to Federation Square. I haven’t done any fast work this week so I stepped it up and ran about 4:55, very comfortable and no sign of any fatigue from last Sunday.
Run 2
I had run leading this morning, my group was the 6km medium group and I took them around in about 31:30, then I went back to pick up a straggler and finished just over 6km in 33 minutes. A bit of a chat afterwards with someone looking for some guidance and also a with some other girls also doing Trailwalker, swapping some tips on stuff to eat for dinner and sharing training stories.
Run 3
Headed back to my car the way I came, again taking the opportunity to get a short tempo run in. This was probably the best 3km I have run all week, 13:53, 4:36 pace, felt unbelievable, felt amazing, I was working but it was sustainable, started slower and pushed the last km, 4:48, 4:38, 4:21. Form was good, felt fluid, breathing was steady, floating over the ground, just perfection
I have a 5km race picked out for Easter Monday, provided I am feeling fresh after flying back from the Gold Coast the day before I should be able to get myself a new PB.
Saturday Funny

Saturday Fury
If you thought that freaking crazy frog ringtone from a few years ago was annoying, try this on for size, if it does not fill you with murderous rage then clearly you are made of sterner stuff than me, it’s all I can do to not hurl a brick through my TV screen everytime the ad comes on. If I ever ever hear this coming from someone’s phone in the street I will probably punch them in the back of the head.
This helps ease the pain somewhat.
