I got over myself today and ran in my crop top (yes, and shorts!). It was 32 degrees this afternoon when I headed out for an easy 8km recovery run and I gotta tell you it is much more comfortable running without a T-shirt. It was also nice to come back to the car and put a clean dry and non smelly shirt back on for the trip home.
I got in an easy paced (about 5:15kms) 8km around the tan, not too many people out this afternoon, but I was there relatively early at 430pm. I did have company for about half a lap of the tan with someone keeping pace about 2 metres behind me. It was driving me nuts as I was trying to keep to a steady pace, having someone run that close always makes me speed up. I cracked it at the pillars and stopped for a drink, really it was just to let whoever was stalking me to run past. Turned out to be a teenaged boy who gave me a big once over as he ran past, I mean Euowwwwww, ick, obviously I was right to be creeped out.
Blog buddy Flip ‘n Twist, so named because she is one of those fearless gymnast types who hurls herself around on a trampoline in all manner of death defying trickery of which I am wholly impressed, put me on to a great website that really tickles my fancy, I’ll try to remember to share my favourites every couple of days.
Massive day tomorrow, up at 5am to get to the tan to take my Tuesday group for their run/walk program, work, then back to the tan for my own intervals (hills again this week) then out for a team dinner, phew, possibly burning the candle at both ends just a wee bit on Tuesdays
