Mad about the boy(s)

It would rather seem at times that this blog is written by an overly hormonal teenager, I assure you I am not, but I am a chick and I have my fair share of red blood coursing though my veins and I like the boys

Or perhaps I should say men lest I get myself in trouble, but you know what I mean and I am loathe to be too PC about it.

So Jo, this is just for you, this here is Evan Dando, indie rock god extraordinaire who made all our hearts beat a little faster back in the early 90s. Without boring you all too much about the nature of our conversation in the car this morning, I was describing a boy from way back in my youth who bared more than a passing resemblance to his royal loveliness Evan and Jo didn’t know who I was talking about.

*sigh*

OK, back to the Running

Michelle, Jo and I decided on a nice flat 16Km along the Warburton Trail, starting all the way out in Warburton. Fortunately this morning was a whole lot cooler than yesterday and we made it though very comfortably. On the way back we were passed by a pack of riders and the last guy though clipped a branch and stacked right at our feet. Poor bugger was so embarrassed he couldn’t possibly have jumped back on the bike and got out of there fast enough, Jo even tried to help him up but he wasn’t having it, Michelle and I were too busy checking him out

Distance - 16Km (well, 16.37Km by my stride sensor, Garmains gave 16Km)
Time - 90 minutes
Avg Pace - 5:33
Avg HR - 79%
Avg Cadence - 182

And with this run I manage to sneak over 200Km for the month! I ran just over 55Kms this week, about 2Km more than last week on one less day, mainly because instead of speedwork I did lots of long slow running.

Someone reminded me this afternoon that the Victorian Road Runners (VRR) have a New Years Eve morning run around the Tan tomorrow, 4km or 8Km. I had tentatively pencilled this in just for fun but had forgotten all about it. I do actually have to be at work quite early tomorrow to get something done before 730 so I will play it by ear. I was planning on getting to the office at 6am, if I wear the running gear and can get what I need to do done by 7am I should be able to make it. I’d only have to run about 2Km from the office and I wouldn’t be racing the event, just in it for the champagne breakfast really

I was going to to the year in review today but have prattled on enough, I am sure I will find myself at a loose end at work sometime tomorrow and bash out a paragraph or two.
