Awright, I guess I gotta rest so there was no running today. Though now that I am starting to claw back some consistency and after a good session last night I was jumping out of my skin today so went for a big long walk at lunch today and after work wandered back to my car the long way, just to burn off some energy.
Then somehow on my way home from work I found myself in the Nike outlet store in Smith Street. And then 45 minutes later I found myself with a pair of XC Spikes ($60), a new Dri-Fit T-Shirt and a casual top, how did that happen? What’s that you say, didn’t you buy a pair of XC Spikes from the States a few months ago? Well yes I did, but they are really more suitable as distance track spikes and, Ok this is just a lame attempt to justify myself really, guess you never can have too many pairs of running shoes
The top is pretty nifty, it is a fitted top with a special little pocket for an iPod Nano. When they came on the market last year they were close to $100, even I am not going to spend that on a running top, but happy with the $39 I got it for today.
I am sure Brooks and Nike would go out of business if I stopped running.
I read yesterday that Nick Cave is being admitted to the ARIA hall of fame, well deserved I say.
Someone sent me a daft e-mail today it was pictures of cats with witty slogans under them, perhaps it is the Friday Factor or I just have a very lame sense of humour but I laughed so hard there were tears rolling down my face. No matter what the motivation you can’t deny it feels good to laugh like that. Ok, there are exceptions, if torturing puppy dogs or watching Surprise Surprise Gotcha! provokes the same outburst of mirth I would suggest perhaps psychiatric help is in order
