Still haven’t run yet, though I am feeling more human today. I really could have done with another rest day at home but I did have to go to the office today, though I took off at 230.
Rest was still needed today and I had a bit of a nap on the couch when I got home. I have packed my bag for Sydney and have definitely included the running gear. Despite having to get up stupid early tomorrow I am hoping for a nice easy run tomorrow afternoon, I really am missing it.
At this stage it looks like the 10Km on Sunday is just going to be an easy cruise, I haven’t eaten properly in days and am severely under trained. I have my eye on a Sri Chinmoy 10Km at the start of December, the same course I got my last PB on, that will probably be a more appropriate time for a decent hit out.
This is me for today, I have just made a pot of home made soup with stacks of chili to try and tempt my appetite, I can’t really taste food at the moment.
Probably won’t have time to update until I get home on the weekend, have a good week.
Not quite finished yet….
Sunday saw a new Mens Marathon world record set with Haile Gebrselassie running 2:04:26 at the Berlin Marathon, an amazing achievement. Equally impressive was Australia’s Lee Troop running just over 2:10 to qualify for the Beijing Olympics next year, his third. He has shown great tenacity and strength of character to overcome injury, poor form and his own demons to run himself into 6th place in an historic race, I hope he maintains his form for a great Olympic Marathon next year.
