One of those days when it pays to be meeting someone at the pool because both mind and flesh were very weak today.
5 minutes warm up
3 sets of 8 by 90 second hard with 30 second recoveries
2 minutes easy between sets
5 minute cool down
Pretty unremarkable today, though a little spot of “chasey” in the closing laps livened things up a bit
Triple Treat
Slight hangover, back to work and that time of the month, Yay, today was always gonna suck wasn’t it!
I was pretty much a useless lump today and right now am just wanting to blob on the couch and maybe have a little cry. Don’t fret, I am not really sad, just those dang hormones.
Not to mention 3 days of absolutely appalling eating, Friday night is usually the designated takeaway night, but I ended up with takeaway on Saturday night and Sunday night, not to mention feeding the slight hangover today. Again, just lets me know that while a few slack days won’t hurt me it is not a lifestyle I want to sustain, I feel like garbage and can’t wait for a decent healthy feed tonight. Right now a big pot of broccoli soup is simmering away, it smells great.
Last week I did all my pool running as well as my normal running sessions, close to 7 hours worth of workouts, no wonder I was shattered by last night. Finally I am getting to the point where I can skip pool sessions, like tomorrow. As much as the pool sessions with Jo have been a laugh both us were pretty happy to say “can’t do it tomorrow, gotta run”
OK, all this is getting in the way of some serious vegging out time, major major cranky pants tonight.
