Running
14.5Km in 1:20:37, average pace 5:33
Mid week mini long run at a good recovery pace after 2 hard days. On that note I broke the cardinal role of not backing up one hard day with another on Monday and Tuesday, sorry won’t do that again.
The water trick didn’t work yesterday, I drank about 600ml on the way home from yesterday’s work out. But I couldn’t eat my dinner, granted it was pasta which I hate at the best of times (pretty much the only carb I can’t abide), I ended up just having a wholemeal english muffin with raspberry jam at about 2130. Then I stayed up until 2230 to watch SAS:Are You Tough Enough but by half way through I was doubled over with nausea. In fact I was sitting in the couch with a bucket at my feet in case I couldn’t make it to the bathroom in time. This is weird for me, I rarely get sick.
I mentioned yesterday I felt lousy, in fact for about 2 weeks I have had headaches, mainly due to clenching my jaw, and I keep feeling sick. I am pretty sure it is just work stress, only 2 more days and then I am off for a week and a half.
The Lore of Running turned up the other day and I have been flicking through it. It is a massive tome and I was worried it might be a bit dense, but so far I have found it pretty accessible, fairly contains just about everything you wanted to know about running but were afraid to ask!
That’s it, maybe I’ll just blog the running stuff until I am myself again, I can’t focus my thoughts right now. Though getting out for a run every day is helping me keep my sanity.

It’s a fantastic book, very readable and covers just about everything you can think of – including the trots
I hope everything is OK, drop me a line if you need to have a bit of a whinge

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling too good. Just take it easy, ease back on the running a little and enjoy your break.

Sounds like your leave will be very well deserved. Maybe you need some proper medical advice (from Sports Doc of course).
