Yep, that means I have my watch back, it was safe and sound and back on my wrist yesterday morning. They even fixed the annoying little screen glitch that showed up one day after a reset when the unit froze.
Rather than running straight after work I headed home first and set out for a trek up to Blackburn Lake and around the Creeklands. It was pretty hot and dry but a bit of a slog, luckily there are a few drink taps along the route. There were a couple of other runners out there today, most of whom returned my smile and greeting. Glad I didn’t see Mr Serious Runner today, I saw him a few Friday’s ago on that horrible humid afternoon, my smile and good afternoon was met with a look that suggested he thought I was a little too low down the ladder for him to bother with, Poo to you buddy, I hope you get Plantar Fasciitis
Rambling
Bloody hell I am glad it’s Friday, nothing but aggravation and lot’s of putting people on mute in meetings while I told them what I thought of them, one of these day’s I going to get caught out doing that
less said about the day the better really. I have been a narky cow all week, I desperately need my break, can’t wait to get on that plane to Queensland, even if it is only a 4 day visit.
Though most people who have seen me in the evenings this week will probably attest to the fact that I have been my usual cheery self. Well that is because running puts me in a good mood, even when I am just around it and not necessarily participating, it’s just beween 730am and 4pm that I have been vile. Today was one of those days where if someone had have crossed me they would have had their throat ripped out.
I was doing a little research on the internet this evening, trying to find a picture of the original Aunty Em. As I said yesterday it has always been a family nickname for me, thanks to the Wizard of Oz. Incidently, the book, along with Alice in Wonderland was read to death when I was a child. I still have my much loved original copies of both books, maybe I will give them to little Katrina when she is a bit older, if I can bear to part with them. I also have my original Blinky Bill and Snuggle Pot and Cuddle Pie, ahhh, memories, Banksia Pods still send a shiver down my spine. I probably still have my copy of Dot and the Kangaroo floating around somewhere as well.

Anyway, strolled off topic there. While looking for a photo of Aunty Em I stumbled upon this little bitter sweet tribute to Clara Blandick who played Aunty Em in the 1939 film. The poor woman, no one should have to die so alone like that.
