A much more comfortable 17 degrees this morning, a full 10 degrees cooler than yesterday morning. As you’ll see this had a huge difference with a 5 minute quicker run along the same route. Kind of made it up as I went along and turned it into a bit of a hill fartlek session. Basically I pushed hard up the hills and stopped for a quick recovery at the top before moving on.
Then this evening it was off to the Box Hill Aths track for a Vic Milers meet. I spent most of the night getting a second workout running the start lists around to various officials. In between all that I got to catch some great 800mtre and 3000mtre races. As ever I am totally in awe of the pace some people manage and it was a pretty exciting evening watching some quality running. Despite the heat there were also some PBs run and it is great to cheer someone over the line when they have run their heart out for their best time.
Quite a big Ausrun contingent out there running and spectating. Seems I have managed to get myself talked into being part of a trailwalker team next year 
, well, I didn’t take too much convincing especially as I was assured that chocolate would be the main source of fuel and champagne the recovery 
Getting a bit late, better blog off and hit the hay, another hot day forecast means another run while the sparrows are still sleeping.
