8km with warm up/cool down and session.
An easing back into it session for me – 370m, 500m, 800m, 800m, 500m, 370m
A baby session yes, but god damn it was a challenge. The legs wanted to pull the pin and just do half the session, the mind however is a different beast. The mind was telling the legs, “stop your fecking whingeing and get on with it, you will crawl the rest of the session before you stop, now you don’t want to be seen crawling around The Tan do you?”
Needless to say I did not want to be seen crawling around The Tan so the mind won and I got through it. And of course like every other difficult session I have done I felt great by the time I finished. I didn’t bother timing the splits today, just wanted to concentrate on the running.
I am stoked that I have taken another step back to full fitness.
Too buggered for other stuff tonight, I promise I’ll post those pics of the new shoes tomorrow.
