Running
11km in 55:42, average pace 5:03, yeah!
What can I say, shit hot run tonight! Goes to show a morning tea of Passionfruit Teacake (no Hummingbird Cakes at DJs today) might just be the food of champions.
Heck, what can I say, it just all fell into place today, the legs, heart and lungs finally roused themselves from their long injury induced slumber, came to the party and kicked some serious butt. Damn I am pleased, not quite my old tempo session pace (that is about 4:50) but still quick enough to leave a big fat smile on my face 
I had no planned workouts until getting back to interval training next week, so today came as a total surprise. After weeks of plodding around just keeping the legs moving and getting the Kms back up again I finally feel like a runner again. Not sure were it came from as I had a case of the blahs and was just planning on an 8Km cruise before heading home. But I hit my tempo run route, was feeling good so opened it up a bit and just went for it.
Ahhhh, I’ll just bask in the glow for a little while I think……..

My blog stats tell me who has found me via a search engine and today someone got here by searching for “Craig Mottram Training”, shame all they would have found was various posts were all I do is objectify the big fella :opps:
Speaking of which, looks like DV is all mine based on the comments on yesterday’s post. With Buster, Daniel Craig and now DV I guess I like ‘em tall and lanky or short and built like a Staffy Terrier or just a little bit nerdy.
Looks like Sheik Whatsit is up to no good again, this time trashing us on Egyptian TV. Please mate, that tired old insult about being convicts, B O R I N G, most of my family came here in chains, wanna make something of it? And that’s Anglo-Celtic to you my friend, not Anglo-Saxon, or do we all look the same to you? OK, maybe I am getting a bit touchy here. I was quite interested in his point about Islam having deep roots in Australian soil long before Anglo-Saxon’s arrived, Hmmm, my high school history teacher was remiss, I don’t recall him telling us about the Muslim Aboriginals. The guy is making life extremely difficult for his brothers and sisters in Australia and should probably think about shutting up. I for one am respectful of all religions, despite not having any beliefs myself and just as I feel for other religions when there leaders stick their feet in it, or worse, right now I am really feeling for the Muslims in Australia. This one person has the ability to make life very difficult and stir up a whole lot of ignorant vitriol, I know I had my little spit, but it was largely sarcasm (lowest form of humor, I know).
Anyway, I hope everyone just chills a bit and does not take this out on the “man in the street”, so to speak.
Haven’t had a good rant for a while now have I?
Back to the good vibes, I feel great, I feel alive, I have my race numbers for the Sunset Series and I am raring to go!
