Running
10Km in 53:35, average pace 5:22
Today’s run was reasonably challenging with some good hills, fortunately on this course with every up there is a down, hence the still reasonably good average pace.
It was another early morning run, starting at about 5:35. This is just as the sun is starting to make it’s appearance, everything is so still and quiet and I have this great sense of satisfaction running around while everyone is still asleep. And now that we are into our 4th (or is it 5th) day in a row of temps over 30 degrees C it is pretty much essential that I run at this time of the day.
When I crashed through the front door this morning I was gasping for a drink and dripping sweat everywhere, it was already 23 degrees
Unfortunately the mood didn’t stick today, for some reason I was in a vile mood, let’s face it, probably PMT. I vented to my mother about my cousin having her wedding in Bright and how I can’t be stuffed going and I hate weddings anyway and if people want to get married 4 hours out of the city they can’t expect everyone to turn up, blah, blah, blah, you get the drift. Mum essentially told me to shut and be nice, I guess I deserved that. I usually don’t whinge, I am the nice compliant don’t rock the boat oldest child, guess I am allowed to throw a tanty every now and then.
End of an Era
Well, we took The Ashes series 5-0 today, as if that was ever in doubt. This has only happened once previously, 86 years ago and yep, Australia then as well.
Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Justin Langer ended their Test careers today. Time for the new guard to step into the breach, hope they are up to it
Spam Filter
